A freelancing work is a solution for me.I am a repatriated seafarer from international cruise line and a mom of one adorable human being. In our life, we always have ups and downs. One of my downs is during this time, the effect of pandemic to me, being jobless while all bills are kept on running, expenses are still rolling every minute of my everyday life.
What will I do? To await and board again? I cannot wait for uncertainties to have a new contract again since a lot of crew are on the long waiting list. I always love traveling while working but the best place is where your heart is. And looking back on the inconvenience of thousand miles away from home when the pandemic started. The distress wrapped my heart, but led me closer to God. Every night praying to God for my family’s safety and if I can have another opportunity not to be away from my son ever again. Praying every day and depending on His will, but I need to do something. I need to have a means. So, I asked myself, what can I do? How will I surpass this challenge?
I have skilled working in the office before but it was way back eight years ago. A friend of mine recommended freelancing job, when she said you can work part-time or full and the most thrilling words is “work at home”. I have all the reasons why not give it a try.
I wanted to be equipped with enough knowledge so I can be efficient and effective to my future clients. I decided to enrolled in FVA Academy for freelancing course, under coach Julmar Grace Locsin. She is the best not only for teaching but supporting you every steps of the coaching lessons. I am happy learning and adopting trends. I cannot imagine having my own website and exploring all essential tools needed to be trained working online. They do offer a lot of learning courses and special deals. For me this is a guaranteed step since I do learn a lot and opportunities are coming in, I have all the ups I needed to continue and be the best person/freelancer/mom/wife as I can be.
If you are on the same shoes, don’t lose hope. In every problem there will always be a solution. Freelancing is mine, what’s yours?
